ORDINANCE 08-122
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKELAND THAT CHAPTER 2, TITLE 16 OF THE LAKELAND MUNICIPAL CODE IS CREATED PERTAINING TO A MANUAL FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS

WHEREAS, the City of Lakeland is desirous of adopting a manual for public works construction and material specifications; and,

WHEREAS, the purposes of this Manual for Public Works Construction and Material Specifications shall be used to improve the quality of construction in the corporate limits of Lakeland by Developers and by public contractors.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF LAKELAND, TENNESSEE that the “MANUAL FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS dated June 2008 is hereby adopted.

Section 1:

Chapter 2 is hereby added to Title 16 of the Lakeland, Tennessee Municipal Code and consists of the following Sections and pages:

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its final passage, the public welfare requiring it.
