ORDINANCE 06-89
An Ordinance to Amend Ordinance 04-65 of the Comprehensive Fee Schedule which is Incorporated in the Lakeland City Code; and Providing an Effective Date

WHEREAS, the City of Lakeland adopted Ordinance 04-65 within which various fees assessed by the City of Lakeland are described; and

WHEREAS, the City of Lakeland has performed a cost recovery analysis and the fees are based on those findings.

WHEREAS, the City of Lakeland continuously seeks opportunities to improve the provision of governmental services and must therefore assess fees associated with providing such services; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Lakeland determined a consolidated fee schedule would assist City staff in the implementation of fees for various services and facilitate the comprehensive review and updating of fees from time to time; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAKELAND, TENNESSEE THE FOLLOWING:

1. The City of Lakeland Comprehensive Fee Schedule, Ordinance 04-65 is hereby amended, as described in Exhibit “A” attached hereto.

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAKELAND THAT:

This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage on second and final reading, the public welfare requiring it.

First Reading: May 4, 2006.
Public Hearing: May 22, 2006.
Final Reading: June 1, 2006.
