ORDINANCE 06-94
An Ordinance to Amend Ordinance 06-89 of the Comprehensive Fee Schedule which is Incorporated in the Lakeland City Code; and Providing an Effective Date

WHEREAS, the City of Lakeland adopted Ordinance 06-89 within which various fees assessed by the City of Lakeland are described; and

WHEREAS, the growth pattern that has occurred in the City of Lakeland has warranted the warning siren fees for future developments for the areas not within the scope of the existing warning sirens; and

WHEREAS, the City of Lakeland continuously seeks opportunities to improve the provision of governmental services and must therefore assess fees associated with providing such services; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Lakeland determined a consolidated fee schedule would assist City staff in the implementation of fees for various services and facilitate the comprehensive review and updating of fees from time to time; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAKELAND, TENNESSEE THE FOLLOWING:

1. The City of Lakeland Comprehensive Fee Schedule, Ordinance 06-89 is hereby amended, as described in Exhibit “A” attached hereto.

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAKELAND THAT:

This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage on second and final reading, the public welfare requiring it.

First Reading: July 06, 2006.
Public Hearing: July 24, 2006.
Final Reading: August 03, 2006.
